Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Aims for Near-Doubling of Fleet by 2035

Flight Global approached Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Mr. Mesfin Tasew and comprehensively featured the airline’s strategic roadmap, Vision 2035, and the ambition of doubling the current fleet size. In the article, Mr Mesfin stated, “Today, Ethiopian Airlines operates around 135 aircraft. By 2035, we would like to expand this fleet to more than 250 aircraft.” He added that, Ethiopian Airlines already has 35 latest technology and highly efficient aircraft on order.

Mr. Mesfin also highlighted that Ethiopian will invest heavily on infrastructures including MRO and airport facilities, as well as on human resource and systems development in line with Vision 2035.
