Etihad Adds Seven New Routes, Reaches 29 Destinations in 2025

Etihad Airways has announced a significant network expansion with seven new destinations set to launch by March 2026, extending the Abu Dhabi-based carrier’s reach across Europe, the Gulf, the Caucasus, and Central Asia. The move brings the airline’s total number of new destinations for 2025 to 29, underscoring Etihad’s aggressive growth strategy and commitment to strengthening Abu Dhabi’s global connectivity.
Starting March 2026, Etihad will begin flying from Zayed International Airport (AUH) to Almaty (ALA) in Kazakhstan, Baku (GYD) in Azerbaijan, Bucharest (OTP) in Romania, Tbilisi (TBS) in Georgia, Tashkent (TAS) in Uzbekistan, and Yerevan (EVN) in Armenia. Service to Medina (MED) in Saudi Arabia will commence earlier, in November 2025.
These latest additions build on Etihad’s rapidly growing 2025 route map, which already includes new flights to Prague, Warsaw, Sochi, and Atlanta, with 13 more routes expected to be added before year-end. The airline also recently unveiled seasonal services for summer 2026 to Krakow, Salalah, and Kazan.
Antonoaldo Neves, Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Airways, highlighted the diversity and strategic value of the new destinations. “From the spiritual significance of Medina to the historic charm of Tbilisi and Yerevan, and the modern vibrancy of cities like Baku and Almaty, each destination adds depth to our growing network,” Neves said. “With these seven additions, Etihad will have launched 29 new routes in a single year—a remarkable milestone that reflects our ambition and commitment to Abu Dhabi’s growth.”
Etihad’s continued expansion positions it as a key player in regional and intercontinental travel, catering to a wide range of travelers from religious pilgrims and cultural explorers to business passengers seeking new market access across emerging and established destinations.
