Etihad Airways Boosts Flight Frequency to Rome from Abu Dhabi

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, has announced that it will increase its flight frequency between Abu Dhabi and Rome from seven to 11 times per week, starting from June 14th, 2023. The additional flights will offer more options and convenience for travelers to and from Italy, as well as seamless connectivity to destinations across the Middle East, Asia and Africa via Abu Dhabi.

The airline will operate the route with its newest aircraft type, the Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner, which features 336 seats in two cabin classes. The aircraft offers a spacious and comfortable experience for passengers, as well as reduced noise and emissions.

Martin Drew, Senior Vice President Sales & Cargo at Etihad Airways, said: “We are delighted to increase our flights to Rome, one of our most popular destinations in Europe. Italy is a key market for us and we have seen a strong demand for our services since we resumed flights in 2019. With our partnership with Alitalia, we are able to offer our customers more choice and flexibility across 21 destinations in Italy.”

The flight schedule for the Abu Dhabi-Rome route is as follows:

  • EY83: Departs Abu Dhabi (AUH) at 02:15, arrives in Rome (FCO) at 06:50
  • EY84: Departs Rome (FCO) at 11:05, arrives in Abu Dhabi (AUH) at 19:25
  • EY85: Departs Abu Dhabi (AUH) at 08:55, arrives in Rome (FCO) at 13:30
  • EY86: Departs Rome (FCO) at 22:10, arrives in Abu Dhabi (AUH) at 06:30 (+1)
