Etihad Launches New Atlanta Route with A350 Service

Etihad Airways has officially launched its inaugural flight from Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, expanding its U.S. network to five destinations. The first flight, operated by an Airbus A350-1000, departed Abu Dhabi at 09:34 local time and arrived in Atlanta at 16:40 after a 15-hour journey.
This new route connects Atlanta with Etihad’s existing U.S. destinations—New York City, Chicago, Washington D.C., and Boston. Initially operating four times per week, the service is set to become a daily flight beginning November 2025 due to strong demand across both business and leisure travel sectors.
The flight schedule is as follows: EY13 departs Abu Dhabi at 09:20 and lands in Atlanta at 16:20 local time. The return leg, EY14, leaves Atlanta at 22:00 and arrives back in Abu Dhabi at 19:30 the next day. All passengers can take advantage of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Preclearance facility at Zayed International Airport, allowing them to complete immigration and customs procedures before departure. This enables a hassle-free arrival in the U.S. as domestic travelers.
Etihad CEO Antonoaldo Neves highlighted the importance of the new route, calling Atlanta “a dynamic city with deep cultural, economic, and aviation significance.” He emphasized that the service offers enhanced access to the southeastern U.S. while also creating strong connectivity to destinations across the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent, and Asia.
Neves also noted growing U.S. interest in Abu Dhabi as a travel destination, praising the city’s beaches, theme parks, cultural offerings, and cuisine. “The response to this route has been phenomenal,” he said. “The strength of early bookings has been so impressive that we’ve already announced daily flights starting later this year.”
