Everts Air Alaska Welcomes First Cessna 408F SkyCourier
Everts Air Alaska, based in Fairbanks, has taken delivery of its initial Cessna 408F SkyCourier, marking the first of three ordered from the manufacturer. The aircraft, registered as N408RE, was ferried from Wichita Beech Factory and is yet to enter revenue service. The carrier’s CEO, Robert Everts, anticipates the new turboprop to be operational by the end of the year.
The order positions Everts Air Alaska as the third independent operator of the Cessna 408F SkyCourier, following Bering Air and Kamaka Air. While FedEx-affiliated carriers Mountain Air Cargo and Empire Airlines also operate the type, Everts Air Alaska expands the independent operator network for the versatile aircraft.
The airline’s diverse fleet includes various freighters such as B727-200(F), MD-82(SF), MD-83(SF), MD-88(SF), BAe 146-300(QT), DC-6(C-118A), DC-6A, DC-6B, DC-9-30(CF), DC-9-30F, and DC-9-30RC, among others. Additionally, it operates Cessna C208s and PC-12s on its scheduled passenger network in Alaska.
