ExecuJet has announced a partnership with Silk Way AFEZCO to develop a new fixed-base operation (FBO) at the upcoming Alat International Airport in Azerbaijan and to manage Silk Way’s factory-new Gulfstream GVII-G500. The collaboration marks a significant step in expanding Luxaviation Group’s footprint into the Azerbaijani business aviation market.

The new FBO will be modeled after ExecuJet’s flagship facility at Dubai World Central, offering premium ground handling, maintenance, and VIP passenger services. Construction is scheduled to begin by the end of 2025, with the opening planned for 2027 to coincide with the launch of Alat International Airport. The facility aims to position Alat as a key regional hub for business aviation, supporting both local and international operators.

As part of the agreement, ExecuJet will also oversee the operation of Silk Way AFEZCO’s Gulfstream GVII-G500, the first aircraft of its type to enter service in Azerbaijan. Delivery of the ultra-long-range jet is expected by the end of the second quarter of 2026. The division within Luxaviation Group responsible for managing the aircraft will be announced upon delivery. At present, the group does not operate any GVII-G500s in its global fleet.

The partnership also includes a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to form a joint venture within the Alat Free Economic Zone (AFEZ), located south of Baku. Silk Way AFEZCO, a subsidiary of the Silk Way Group, is leading the development of the zone’s infrastructure and aviation facilities, designed to stimulate trade, logistics, and high-value industrial investment.

According to ExecuJet, the Alat FBO will feature state-of-the-art hangars, passenger lounges, and technical support facilities in line with international business aviation standards. The project reflects growing demand for high-end aviation infrastructure in the Caspian region, where Azerbaijan is positioning itself as a strategic hub for east-west connectivity.

Luxaviation Group, parent company of ExecuJet, operates one of the world’s largest fleets of business jets and manages FBOs across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific. The new venture with Silk Way AFEZCO strengthens its presence in emerging markets and highlights Azerbaijan’s ambition to become a leading destination for private and corporate aviation.
