Ezy Airlines, a burgeoning airline based in Thailand, has officially taken delivery of its first aircraft—a significant milestone as the company prepares for its upcoming revenue flights slated to commence in the third quarter of 2024. The airline, owned by M-Landarch Company Limited, celebrated its soft launch on May 24, 2024, in Hua Hin.

The aircraft, a Cessna Grand Caravan 208B EX, now part of the Thai aircraft registry as HS-EZY (msn 208B5793), is designed to carry 14 passengers including the pilot and co-pilot. This acquisition is part of Ezy’s strategy to tap into the regional short-haul market within Thailand.

Although Ezy Airlines has secured an air operating license (AOL), it awaits the final approval of its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT), with the latest update as of May 7 indicating pending status.

During the soft launch event, General Supakorn Sanguanchartsornkrain, chief advisor to Ezy Airlines, outlined the startup’s vision. Ezy aims to connect key cities and towns in Southern Thailand with each flight being within a 60-minute reach. From its base in Hat Yai, the airline plans to operate routes to Yala Betong, Nakhon Si Thammarat, and Surat Thani, focusing on serving the travel needs of locals, tourists, and business travelers looking for quick, convenient inter-provincial connections.

General Supakorn emphasized that Ezy Airlines is poised to explore a “new blue ocean opportunity,” which he believes will generate substantial value not just for the airline but also for businesses and communities across the region, fostering new business opportunities and enhancing local travel efficiency.
