FAA allocates first $1B in air traffic control upgrades

The Federal Aviation Administration has outlined how it will spend the first $1 billion of $5 billion the 2021 infrastructure law allocated to improvements in air traffic control systems. Projects will include upgraded navigation, weather and tracking equipment; improved power and security systems and replacement of some air traffic control towers.
