FAA warns of consequences for unruly behavior

The Federal Aviation Administration is prepared to take a tough stance against passengers who violate rules and exhibit unruly behavior ahead of the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden on Jan. 20. Similarly, airlines and airports “continue to work collaboratively with these authorities and our industry partners to provide a safe journey for travelers and employees.” Two lawmakers urged the FAA to go beyond warnings of enforcement action against disrupters and convene leaders from airlines, unions and airport management to collaborate on barring people involved in previous violent incidents from boarding aircraft.
