Facebook ad costs on upswing following pandemic drops

Facebook advertising costs are up overall 30% compared with mid-March 2020, according to digital agency Aisle Rocket, while Rain the Growth Agency is reporting a 5% to 10% increase in CPMs compared with early last year. Shuree Jones, Rain the Growth Agency’s director of paid social, calls rising auction rates an indicator of “new and increasing competition in the marketplace” and reflection of a “semi-imminent return to normality” following the height of the pandemic.
