In a strategic move to diversify its operations, Falcon Aviation Services (FVS), based in Abu Dhabi Bateen, has acquired two Quick Change freighter kits from De Havilland Aircraft of Canada for its existing DHC-8-Q400 fleet. The Emirati business charter and aviation services specialist aims to tap into new market opportunities by entering the cargo segment.

The Cargo Conversion Solutions provided by De Havilland Canada will enable Falcon Aviation to convert its DHC-8-Q400s from passenger to freighter configuration swiftly. This flexibility allows the airline to adapt to changing market demands and capitalize on unfulfilled cargo transportation needs.

Capt. Raman Oberoi, Chief Operating Officer of Falcon Aviation, highlighted the significance of the Cargo Conversion Solutions for revenue generation, stating, “These Cargo Conversion Solutions by De Havilland Canada for our DHC-8-Q400 fleet will help Falcon Aviation to add another vertical for revenue generation in the coming years, as the unfulfilled demand exists for these operations.”

As of now, Falcon Aviation Services operates three DHC-8-Q400s, each configured with 78 passenger seats. The acquisition of Quick Change freighter kits signifies the airline’s commitment to expanding its capabilities and tapping into the growing cargo transportation market. The ability to convert aircraft roles seamlessly positions Falcon Aviation for agile and efficient fleet management.

Falcon Aviation Services currently does not operate any dedicated freighters, and this move marks a strategic entry into cargo operations. Stay tuned for further developments as Falcon Aviation continues to enhance its fleet and explore new opportunities in the aviation services sector.
