The Biden administration announced that the federal transportation mask mandate will no longer be enforced following the ruling of a federal judge in Florida on Monday. Major US airlines including Alaska, American, Delta, Hawaiian, JetBlue, Southwest and United have directly informed travelers that masks are not required onboard their aircraft. “The high level of immunity and widespread vaccine accessibility in the US coupled with the hospital-grade cabin air on aircraft provide a strong, science-based foundation for passengers to travel with confidence as restrictions are lifted on our nation’s airlines,” said Airlines for America.
