Flexjet to boost US private jet fleet with 22 extra aircraft before end of 2023
Flexjet, a prominent American private jet firm, is set to expand its US fleet significantly with the addition of 22 business aircraft before the end of 2023. This growth target marks a remarkable doubling in fleet size between 2018 and 2023, reaching an impressive 148 aircraft.
Among the latest additions to Flexjet’s North American fleet is the Embraer Praetor 600, which has seen tremendous success in Europe over the past two years, following seven years of operating the Praetor 500 and its predecessor, the Legacy 450. Additionally, Flexjet has incorporated the Bombardier Challenger 3500 into its super midsized private jet offering.
Flexjet’s Executive Vice President of Sales, D.J. Hanlon, expressed excitement about the expanded fleet, stating, “Together with the existing Embraer Praetor 500 and Challenger 350 aircraft flying in our fleet, the addition of the Praetor 600 and the Challenger 3500 has given Flexjet the industry’s leading offering of mid- and super midsized aircraft. The aircraft available to travelers within this offering present mission versatility that is unmatched by any other private aviation provider.”
Notably, the Praetor 600 has been a key asset in Flexjet’s fast-growing European fleet since 2020, prompting its introduction into the US market.
Fractional owners of the aircraft in Flexjet’s mid- and super midsized fleet will benefit from the Red Label by Flexjet program, which features pilots assigned to a specific aircraft, ensuring personalized and consistent service.
Looking ahead to 2023, Flexjet has ambitious plans to further expand its global fleet size to more than 270 private jet aircraft by year-end, excluding helicopters.
The worldwide fleet composition includes various renowned aircraft models, such as the Embraer Phenom 300, the Praetor 500 and 600, the Bombardier Challenger 350 and 3500, as well as the Gulfstream G450 and G650, offering a diverse range of options for discerning travelers.
