Fly Sirius to Buy 20 Citation Longitude Jets in $600M Deal

India’s Fly Sirius (Delhi International) is in advanced talks with Textron Aviation to acquire 20 Citation Longitude jets for $600 million, according to the Press Trust of India.
A source revealed that the deal is expected to be finalized within three to four months, with initial deliveries occurring 12 to 18 months after signing. As part of the discussions, Textron Aviation conducted a demonstration flight in Dubai using N902CL (msn 700-0002), a Citation Latitude, which completed multiple flights at Dubai World Central between January 22 and 28, 2025.
This acquisition aligns with Fly Sirius’ expansion strategy, which includes raising $100 million to grow its fleet to 50 business jets by March 2028. The company is focused on small and midsize business jets, catering to group charter operations across international markets, particularly in the Middle East and Far East.
Fly Sirius launched operations in July 2024 with a single 14.9-year-old Hawker 4000, configured for up to nine passengers. Currently, it remains the only aircraft in the fleet. The airline is a joint venture between Airavat Aviation, a subsidiary of Dubai-based Transworld Group, and Sirius India Airlines Pvt. Ltd, a firm linked to two former SpiceJet executives.
