Flyadeal Expands to Pakistan With Four New Routes

Saudi Arabia’s low-cost carrier Flyadeal is set to significantly expand its presence in Pakistan, one of the Kingdom’s largest international markets, by launching four new routes in late August 2025. Starting between August 24 and 26, the airline will begin flights from Riyadh to Islamabad, Peshawar, and Sialkot, as well as from Dammam to Karachi. The new services will operate two to three times weekly using Airbus A320 aircraft.
The expansion more than doubles Flyadeal’s footprint in Pakistan, following its February 2025 entry into the market with flights from Jeddah and Riyadh to Karachi. With these additions, Flyadeal will serve six Pakistani cities, enhancing connectivity for a large expatriate community and tapping into growing demand driven by labor migration, religious travel, and visiting friends and relatives (VFR) segments.
Notably, the Riyadh–Sialkot route is currently unserved, and Flyadeal will become the only airline operating this connection when it begins on August 26. On the other new routes, the carrier will compete with Saudia, its parent airline, as well as Pakistani carriers including Airblue, Flynas, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), and Serene Air.
According to Sabre Market Intelligence, the Saudi Arabia–Pakistan market carried 5.9 million two-way passengers in 2024, up 5% year-over-year. Top city pairs included Jeddah–Karachi with 901,500 passengers and Jeddah–Islamabad with 688,000. OAG data shows that total seat capacity between the two countries surged to 660,500 in July 2025, compared to 485,200 in July 2024.
Pakistan now ranks as the third-largest international market for Saudi Arabia, and Saudi Arabia is the second-largest for Pakistan. The growing demand reflects strong VFR traffic and supports Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the Kingdom’s economy and expand international connectivity.
Flyadeal currently operates 41 Airbus A320-family aircraft and three Airbus A330s. The airline is preparing for aggressive growth, with plans to expand its fleet to 98 aircraft over the next four and a half years. New aircraft such as the A321neo and A330neo will support its international ambitions.
According to CEO Steven Greenway, Flyadeal aims to have international routes make up half of its total network in the coming years. With the new Pakistan routes, the airline now operates 28 international destinations across the Middle East, North Africa, Europe, and Central Asia—positioning it as a growing player in the region’s low-cost travel segment.
