Flydubai Announces New Direct Flights Connecting Dubai to Malaysia

Flydubai, the low-cost carrier from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has unveiled exciting plans for the launch of new flight routes to Malaysia, commencing operations on February 10, 2024. This development marks a significant milestone as Flydubai becomes the pioneering airline to introduce direct services between Dubai and two captivating Malaysian destinations: Langkawi and Penang. These daily flights will be operated using Boeing 737-8 aircraft.

New Flight Routes:

  • Dubai International Airport (DXB) to Penang International Airport (PEN), Malaysia.
  • Continuing to: Langkawi International Airport (LGK), the picturesque archipelago off the northwestern coast of Malaysia.
  • Return journey: Dubai via Penang

The flight duration from Dubai to Penang is approximately seven hours, with an additional one-hour flight connecting Penang to Langkawi, offering travelers quick access to this stunning tropical paradise.

With the addition of these routes, Flydubai expands its Southeast Asian network to four destinations, building on its existing presence in Thailand with flights to Krabi and Pattaya. The airline is committed to strengthening connectivity and tourism ties between the UAE and Malaysia, providing travelers from both regions with more choices and enhanced convenience.
