Flydubai, the Dubai-based airline, has recently upgraded its in-flight experience by introducing PressReader on board 70% of its fleet. This initiative allows passengers to enjoy complimentary access to a wide range of PressReader’s digital magazines through the airline’s in-flight entertainment system.

Passengers traveling in both Business and Economy class can now browse through the latest in business, news, travel, and lifestyle digital content directly from their seats. This service is particularly notable for its convenience and the breadth of content it offers, catering to the diverse interests of Flydubai’s passengers.

The addition of PressReader is part of Flydubai’s growing partnership with the digital magazine platform. This collaboration extends to passengers visiting the Flydubai Business Lounge at Dubai International Airport (DXB), where they can also enjoy complimentary access to PressReader’s content. By connecting to the Business Class Lounge WiFi network and downloading the PressReader app, passengers can download their favorite publications before their flight.

Flydubai’s commitment to enhancing the customer experience is further demonstrated by its latest aircraft, which features the RAVE in-flight entertainment system provided by Safran Passenger Innovations (SPI). This system includes a full HD, 11.6-inch screen, offering a wide selection of movies, TV shows, music, and games. The entertainment package is complimentary for Business Class passengers and available for purchase in Economy Class.

This initiative aligns with Flydubai’s commitment to new technologies and improving the overall customer experience. The introduction of PressReader as a paperless alternative to print publications onboard is a step towards sustainability, reducing extra fuel consumption caused by the weight of physical magazines and newspapers.
