In 2023, Flynas, a leading low-cost Saudi Arabian airline in the Middle East, achieved an unprecedented milestone in its annual performance. The airline reported a record-breaking number of passengers, exceeding 11.1 million, marking a significant 28% growth compared to the previous year. This surge in passenger numbers was a key highlight of the year for Flynas.

A crucial factor in this achievement was Flynas’ strategic expansion, including the addition of 19 new aircraft to its fleet. This increase expanded the fleet size to 64 aircraft, a substantial growth of over 35% from 2022. This expansion allowed Flynas to inaugurate its fourth operations base at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah and to increase its seat capacity by 22% for both domestic and international flights.

Notably, Flynas launched 57 new destinations and routes across 10 countries in 2023. This expansion was part of Flynas’ mission “We Connect the World to the Kingdom,” aiming to enhance global connectivity and establish the airline as a prominent player in the aviation industry.

The CEO and Managing Director of Flynas, Bander Almohanna, expressed pride in the airline’s performance. He attributed this success to the airline’s robust business model, dedicated team efforts, and effective strategic growth plan. Almohanna emphasized the airline’s commitment to innovation and continuous investment in fleet and destination expansion. This strategy has propelled Flynas to a top position in the Skytrax classification, ranking it among the top 4 low-cost carriers (LCC) worldwide and the best in the Middle East.

Flynas’ success in 2023 was recognized internationally, receiving several awards, including the Skytrax International Award as the 4th Best LCC worldwide and the Best Low-cost Airline in the Middle East for the sixth consecutive year. Additionally, it secured the Best Low-cost Airline Award in the Middle East from the World Travel Awards for the ninth consecutive year.

As part of its future vision, Flynas aims to continue expanding its market reach. This aligns with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to connect Saudi Arabia with 250 international destinations and aims to accommodate 330 million passengers and host 100 million tourists annually by 2030. Flynas’ strategic growth, innovative initiatives, and a commitment to enhancing passenger experience have significantly contributed to its historic performance in 2023.
