Germany’s virtual carrier flyv has confirmed that Flyellow, a German AOC holder, will operate its on-demand and charter services under the flyvbird brand starting September 1, 2025. The services will connect select regional airports using a dedicated Cessna Grand Caravan EX (C208B).

The initial route network will include regional connections between Friedrichshafen, Mönchengladbach, Münster/Osnabrück, and Berlin Strausberg. These underserved airports are targeted to support flyv’s mission of offering fast, point-to-point air mobility across Germany through efficient, low-volume operations.

flyv is positioning itself as a digital-first virtual airline, focusing on AI-driven route planning and demand-responsive flight scheduling. Its collaboration with Flyellow enables it to operate flights under an established air operator certificate while focusing on customer interface and tech-driven logistics.

The aircraft, a single-turboprop Cessna Grand Caravan EX, is well suited for short-haul regional operations and is recognized for its reliability and performance in low-density markets. flyv plans to expand both its fleet and route network later in 2025 and beyond.

The partnership with Flyellow marks a significant milestone in flyv’s development as it prepares to enter the German regional aviation market in late Q3 2025. The company aims to tap into growing demand for flexible, regional connectivity and redefine short-haul air travel in Europe.

More aircraft and destinations are expected to be announced as part of flyv’s scaling strategy, further supporting its long-term vision for digital and decentralized aviation services in the region.
