FlyXcite, a U.S.-based private jet operator, has been named as the first tenant of a new fixed-base operator (FBO) facility in Hamilton, Ontario. The project, spearheaded by Canadian property developer BC Developments—whose president also serves as CEO of FlyXcite—represents a $50 million investment aimed at enhancing aviation services in the region. This facility will be FlyXcite’s second FBO site in Canada, following another FBO planned for London, Ontario, set to open in 2025.

Key Features of the New Hamilton FBO

The Hamilton FBO facility, spanning 100,000 square feet (9,290 square meters), will provide a range of services tailored to private aviation. Designed with upscale amenities, the facility will feature three hangars, executive lounges, catering services, and private meeting spaces. FlyXcite will occupy 30,000 square feet (2,787 square meters) of space, allowing it to provide seamless services to its private jet charter clients and aircraft management customers.

Aerofina Aviation, a company specializing in custom helicopter and fixed-wing aircraft completions, is also set to occupy 20,000 square feet (1,858 square meters) within the FBO. The third hangar, covering 50,000 square feet (4,645 square meters), is expected to be available within the next two years, with the initial phase of construction slated for completion by late 2025.

FlyXcite’s Expansion and Services

FlyXcite, based in Texas, specializes in private jet charter services, aircraft management, and brokering solutions. Operating under its Part 135 certificate, registered as Stebbins Aviation, FlyXcite manages a fleet that includes a Citation Mustang and a Gulfstream GIV-SP, catering to private travelers with a focus on flexibility and luxury.

This expansion into the Canadian market signifies FlyXcite’s commitment to broadening its service offerings and establishing a stronger presence in North America. The Hamilton FBO will complement the company’s other upcoming FBO location in London, Ontario, which was announced during a ceremony on October 24, 2024. Together, these facilities will position FlyXcite to attract clients seeking premium, personalized aviation services across Ontario.

Enhancing Private Aviation in Ontario

With the new FBO in Hamilton, FlyXcite is poised to meet the increasing demand for private aviation services in Ontario. The facility’s amenities, from upscale lounges to private meeting spaces, are designed to cater to corporate clients, business travelers, and high-net-worth individuals looking for efficient and comfortable travel options. The addition of a dedicated space for Aerofina Aviation’s bespoke aircraft customization services also adds a unique element to the facility, appealing to clients who prioritize personalized aircraft interiors and modifications.

Future Prospects and Regional Impact

The Hamilton FBO project aligns with FlyXcite’s strategy to strengthen its foothold in the Canadian market. By offering state-of-the-art amenities and comprehensive services, FlyXcite aims to become a top choice for private jet charter and aircraft management in the region. The Hamilton facility is also expected to boost the local economy, creating jobs and attracting high-value business travelers to the area.

As FlyXcite continues its expansion, it reflects a broader trend in the private aviation sector, where FBOs are increasingly designed to offer not just essential services but also luxury and convenience. With the Hamilton and London FBOs, FlyXcite is set to meet the needs of a growing market, providing high-quality private aviation solutions to Ontario and beyond.
