Forecast: Hotels will rise from depths, but not soon
The worst year ever for US hospitality, 2020, will carry over into the first half of this year, but a marked and steady climb will follow, STR and the American Hotel & Lodging Association project. Pent-up consumer demand and progress in vaccinations will revive the industry, AHLA CEO Chip Rogers says, but he warns, “As most other businesses come out of this, we’re still going to be hurting for a while.”
