Four Seasons Yachts Secures €400M for Second Vessel

Four Seasons Yachts has obtained financing to design and build its second luxury vessel through a landmark agreement with Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri. The order, valued at more than €400 million, will see the new yacht constructed at Fincantieri’s Ancona shipyard, expanding the company’s emerging small-ship fleet following the launch of its inaugural vessel. This financing milestone underscores Four Seasons Yachts’ commitment to bringing its signature resort-level service to the open seas.

Work is already underway on Four Seasons I, which Fincantieri is also building. Scheduled to debut on January 25, 2026, the first yacht will introduce a new paradigm in ultra-luxury cruising, blending the brand’s renowned hospitality standards with yacht-style intimacy. Guests will enjoy spacious suites, personalized butler service and a suite of amenities rivaling the world’s finest resorts—all aboard a vessel designed for just 140 passengers.

With funding now secured for Four Seasons II, the shipyard in Ancona will begin outfitting the latest addition in the coming months. Delivery is expected in 2027, with the vessel entering service in early 2028. Although specific itinerary details have yet to be announced, insiders say the second yacht will mirror the first in its focus on bespoke experiences, from immersive wellness programs and curated culinary journeys to exclusive shore excursions and onboard enrichment.

Donald Mason, chief financial officer of Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings LTD, the joint owner and operator behind the Four Seasons Yachts venture, hailed the financing as a critical step in the line’s long-term growth. “We are thrilled to be expanding our fleet to include Four Seasons II,” Mason said. “This milestone reflects our continued growth and commitment to delivering Four Seasons’ legendary service at sea. With unmatched craftsmanship, innovation and elegance, Four Seasons I will continue to elevate the yachting lifestyle experience to unprecedented heights.”

Industry analysts note that Four Seasons Yachts has rapidly established itself in the ultra-luxury segment, where demand for smaller-ship offerings is rising among affluent travelers seeking privacy, personalized service and destination immersion. Unlike megaships carrying thousands of passengers, Four Seasons yachts cater to a select clientele, reinforcing the brand’s reputation for exclusivity. The successful financing of a second vessel signals strong confidence from lenders and investors in the company’s business model and the wider trends driving luxury travel.

Fincantieri, one of the world’s premier cruise shipbuilders, brings decades of expertise to the project. Its Ancona yard will oversee steel cutting, hull assembly and the integration of advanced environmental systems, including energy-efficient engines and wastewater treatment technologies. Both Four Seasons I and II are expected to feature the latest in sustainable ship design, aligning with global efforts to reduce maritime emissions and rely on cleaner fuel sources.

The debut of Four Seasons I early next year will offer the first public glimpse of the line’s onboard innovations, which include open-deck wellness pavilions, a trio of signature restaurants designed by Michelin-starred chefs, and a pioneering suite of technology that enhances service personalization. Following the successful introduction of the initial yacht, Four Seasons Yachts will turn its attention to outfitting and sea trials for the second vessel, ensuring a seamless handover to guests when service begins in 2028.

As the cruise industry continues to evolve, Four Seasons Yachts’ dual launch strategy places it among a handful of operators redefining luxury at sea. By securing substantial financing for its second ship, the company has demonstrated both the strength of its brand and the appeal of its intimate, service-driven offering. With two yachts on order and a reputation for excellence built over decades in the hospitality sector, Four Seasons Yachts is poised to set new standards in the world of yacht vacations.
