Frontier Airlines temporarily halted all flights on Monday
Frontier Airlines temporarily halted all flights on Feb. 7, taking the gloss off news the airline wanted to merge with Spirit Airlines.
Just hours after announcing plans to merge with Spirit Airlines in a multi-billion dollar deal, technical problems forced Denver-based Frontier Airlines to ground its flights on Monday. At the time of writing, Frontier is back in the air and attempting to restore normal operations.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued a nationwide ground stop order on Monday morning at the airline’s request. The FAA noted there was a medium chance of extending the order, reuters.com reported.
