Gaiarooms Raises €10M to Expand Digital Hotel Portfolio

Spain-based accommodation startup Gaiarooms has secured €10 million in funding to accelerate the growth of its tech-enabled property portfolio. The round was led by Bonsai Venture Capital, with participation from angel investor Javier Llorente.

Founded in 2018, Gaiarooms operates hotels, hostels, and apartments featuring fully automated check-in systems and 24/7 customer service. The company also offers flexible management tools for independent hoteliers, including revenue optimization and marketing solutions.

“Our model allows independent hoteliers to join a digitized chain, optimizing management and maximizing the profitability of their establishments,” said Enrique Domínguez, co-founder and CEO of Gaiarooms. He added that the new funding will support continued innovation and expansion, creating a new category of fully digital hotel experiences.

Gaiarooms currently manages 900 accommodation units across eight Spanish cities and aims to scale to 4,000 rooms by 2028. The company is targeting further expansion in strategic Spanish cities such as Valencia, Seville, Zaragoza, Porto, and San Sebastián, with international markets also under consideration.

In addition to digital innovation, Gaiarooms is focusing on sustainability by incorporating eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient systems into its properties. These efforts aim to reduce environmental impact while maintaining a high standard of guest comfort and convenience.

With this funding, Gaiarooms plans to strengthen its position in the evolving hospitality tech space, offering travelers streamlined digital experiences while supporting independent hotel owners with modern management solutions. The company continues to redefine the hospitality landscape with its scalable, tech-forward approach.
