GainJet Aviation Restarts Global Express XRS Operations

GainJet Aviation has resumed Global Express XRS operations after a 10-year hiatus, with its newly reactivated jet now frequently flying on high-profile missions.
The aircraft, registered as SX-LNS (msn 9240), began operations on December 23, 2024, with a flight from Athens to Vienna. The 18-year-old jet, configured for 13 passengers, has since been actively flying to Freetown, where it has reportedly been used for Sierra Leone’s presidential travel, including a state visit to Dar es Salaam for the Mission 300 Africa Energy Summit on January 25, 2025.
Previously registered in the United States as N70ES, the jet was operated under Polaris Aviation Solutions’ Part 135 certificate, based at West Palm Beach International. It exited Polaris’ charter fleet in late 2023, marking the end of the company’s Bombardier Business Aircraft operations. The jet last flew as N70ES on March 9, 2024, between Dubai World Central and Athens, where it remained parked until the end of the year.
GainJet Aviation’s Greek-registered fleet now includes two Challenger 604s, two Challenger 605s, and a Gulfstream G650ER. Meanwhile, GainJet Ireland operates a Hawker 800XP (used for air medical services with Reva), two G550s, a G650, and a G650ER. The company also manages a Bermuda-registered Boeing 737-700(BBJ) and 737-900(BBJ), which are operated as Congo Presidential Flight aircraft.
This fleet expansion strengthens GainJet’s position in the luxury and governmental aviation sector.
