Genel Havacilik Resumes Gulfstream Operations with GIV-SP and G450

Genel Havacilik (Istanbul Atatürk) has resumed Gulfstream Aerospace operations, adding its first GIV-SP and reintroducing a G450 into its fleet, according to ch-aviation research.
The GIV-SP, registered as TC-GKL (msn 1492), became operational on January 1, 2025, with its first flight between Istanbul Atatürk and Edremit. The 21.7-year-old jet was previously operated by CKD Aviation as TC-CKD. CKD Aviation will continue to operate another GIV-SP.
The G450, registered as TC-CZD (msn 4354), has also returned to Genel Havacilik’s fleet. It was previously operated by the company between May 2022 and August 2023 before being transferred to Vatanjet, another Turkish operator. The aircraft has been parked at Basel/Mulhouse/Freiburg, CH, since October 7, 2024, after arriving from Antalya. It is yet to resume active operations under Genel Havacilik. Meanwhile, Vatanjet continues to operate another G450.
With these additions, Genel Havacilik further diversifies its fleet, which also includes a recently inducted Global Express XRS, alongside Bombardier Business Aircraft, Dassault Aviation, Embraer Executive Jets, and Textron Aviation models. This fleet expansion enhances Genel Havacilik’s capabilities in business aviation, positioning the operator as a significant player in Türkiye’s executive aviation market.
