Germany’s Luminair Adds XLS+, Plans Falcon 900LX Expansion

Luminair has added its first Citation XLS+, with plans to expand its fleet to three XLS-family jets by April 2025 and induct three brand-new Falcon 900LXs later this year, according to Business Air News.

The newly acquired Citation XLS+ (D-CPLN, msn 560-6003) was previously involved in a dispute between ACASS Ireland and Amborella, the aircraft’s former owner. The jet was recently re-registered in Germany after Amborella transferred ownership to a Hamburg-based company, now confirmed as Luminair.

The 16.2-year-old jet began operations under Luminair’s ‘LUA’ code on February 10, 2025, after being parked in Bournemouth for nearly four months. It then ferried to Bremen Hans Koschnick before arriving at its new base in Hamburg.

Luminair, which was certified in late 2024, initially operated a single Citation XLS. The company has now outlined an ambitious fleet expansion plan, including the delivery of three Falcon 900LXs from Dassault Aviation throughout 2025.

The Falcon 900LX, a long-range business jet, will significantly enhance Luminair’s operational capabilities, supporting luxury charter services across Europe and beyond.

ch-aviation has contacted ACASS Ireland for updates on the ongoing ownership dispute and has reached out to Luminair for more details regarding the Citation XLS+ addition and future fleet plans.
