Gestair Private Jets expands its fleet with the recent addition of a brand new Gulfstream G700, marking an important milestone for the Madrid-based operator. The newly delivered jet, registered as EC-OJM and carrying the manufacturer’s serial number 87047, is the first of its kind in Spain and highlights the group’s commitment to continually modernizing its fleet. The aircraft, delivered on April 3, 2025, was flown directly from Gulfstream Aerospace’s production facilities in Savannah, Georgia, to Santiago de Compostela, where it will soon begin operations for the company.

The introduction of the G700 is significant for Gestair Private Jets, as it adds an ultra-long-range capability to its existing fleet and complements its growing collection of Gulfstream aircraft. Prior to this delivery, the operator already had six Gulfstream jets, including two G550s, two G650s, and two G650ERs. The new G700 not only strengthens the group’s long-range travel portfolio but also positions it well in a competitive market where advanced technology and enhanced range are increasingly sought after by discerning clients.

The company’s fleet is diversified and includes aircraft from other renowned manufacturers such as Bombardier Business Aircraft, Dassault Aviation, Embraer Executive Jets, and Pilatus Aircraft. This variety allows Gestair Private Jets to cater to a wide range of mission requirements, from short regional hops to extended international journeys. Additionally, the group’s Maltese division, Gestair Aviation Malta, operates three Gulfstream aircraft: a G450, a GVII-G500 that was added in the third quarter of 2024, and a G650. With the integration of the new G700, Gestair’s total fleet now stands at 37 aircraft, underlining the company’s robust presence in the business aviation market.

Industry observers see the acquisition of the G700 as a strategic move that reflects Gestair’s broader ambition to enhance service quality and expand its international footprint. The ultra-long-range jet is expected to offer significant improvements in comfort, performance, and technological sophistication, factors that are crucial in today’s competitive business aviation sector. For clients who require extended-range travel without compromising on speed or luxury, the G700 represents a state-of-the-art solution that is in line with modern expectations.

At the same time, the company is experiencing other transformative developments on its corporate front. Private equity firm Hyperion Fund is now in the advanced stages of finalizing a deal to acquire a controlling stake in Gestair. This potential change in ownership could provide the group with additional resources and strategic guidance, further boosting its ability to invest in new technology and expand its service offerings. The negotiation with Hyperion Fund comes at a time when the business aviation market is becoming more competitive and when operators are increasingly focusing on fleet modernization and customer service enhancements.

Overall, the delivery of the new Gulfstream G700 marks a notable chapter for Gestair Private Jets. The decision to incorporate this advanced aircraft into its fleet aligns with the group’s long-term vision of offering high-performance and flexible travel solutions. As the company continues to expand and refine its portfolio, the new G700 is expected to play a key role in elevating its service standards and maintaining its competitive edge in the global private jet industry.
