Global airline networks saw a wave of updates during the week commencing July 28, 2025. Dubai International Airport (DXB) reported a record-breaking first half, handling 46 million passengers. India remains its top market with 5.9 million travelers, followed by Saudi Arabia, the UK, Pakistan, and the U.S.

In the U.S., Alaska Airlines will launch three new routes from Hollywood Burbank (BUR) to Eugene, Redmond, and Pasco on October 26, while Southwest Airlines announced new flights to St. Thomas (STT) from Orlando and Baltimore starting February 2026.

Canada’s Porter Airlines will add Orlando and Fort Lauderdale from Hamilton (YHM) this December, marking its first U.S. routes from the airport. Flair Airlines will begin flying to Mexico City from Vancouver and Toronto in October.

India’s IndiGo is increasing frequencies on its new long-haul routes from Mumbai to Amsterdam and Manchester due to strong demand. Meanwhile, Qatar Airways announced frequency boosts across key routes for the 2025-26 winter season, including London, Frankfurt, Toronto, and Tokyo.

Delta will launch two new African routes from Atlanta: Marrakesh (from October 25) and Accra (from December 1). South African Airways will debut Cape Town–Mauritius service in December, while Hong Kong Airlines adds Hong Kong–Melbourne flights.

In Asia, China Airlines will connect Taipei with Phoenix starting December 3, and Japan Airlines will expand its Tokyo–Taipei cargo route.

Lastly, Gulf Air will begin 3X-weekly service to New York JFK in October and has committed to moving into the airport’s new Terminal One when it opens in 2026.
