GMR Aviation, based at Bengaluru International Airport, has officially launched Embraer Executive Jet operations with the addition of a Legacy 600 to its charter fleet. The aircraft, registered in San Marino as T7-RDS (msn 14501089), marks the company’s entry into operating Embraer business jets.

The 15.9-year-old Legacy 600 is configured to seat up to 13 passengers. Previously registered as D-AEOT, the jet was operated by VistaJet Germany, which still manages two other Legacy 600s and sixteen Legacy 650s. After being retired by VistaJet in November 2024, the aircraft remained inactive until early 2025. Its last flight under VistaJet’s VJH code was from Istanbul Atatürk to London Stansted on January 14. The aircraft then returned to Istanbul as T7-RDS on March 2 before flying to Hyderabad International Airport on March 16 and Delhi International Airport on March 17.

This is the first San Marino-registered aircraft to be operated by GMR Aviation. The company’s non-scheduled operator permit (NSOP) fleet also includes a nine-seat Dassault Falcon 2000LX, which is 15.4 years old, and an eight-seat Bell 412EP helicopter.

GMR Aviation is a subsidiary of the GMR Group, a New Delhi-based infrastructure and airport development company. The launch of Embraer Legacy 600 operations represents an expansion of its private jet charter services, targeting high-end business and leisure travel clients across India and the region. The Legacy 600 offers a combination of long-range performance and comfort, ideal for domestic and regional corporate travel.
