Austrian charter operator Goldeck-Flug is set to reenter the business jet market after a three-year hiatus, with plans to add a Bombardier Global Express XRS and a Challenger 300 to its fleet. The company confirmed the move in a statement to Austrian daily Kleine Zeitung and has already begun recruiting pilots for the aircraft.

Managing director Thomas Schindler revealed that both jets will be sourced from the fleet of another Austrian operator and transferred by their private owners, who are based in Vienna. While specific tail numbers were not disclosed, Austrian aircraft registries currently list five Global Express XRS jets and three Challenger 300s, operated by firms such as Avcon Jet, SPARFELL Luftfahrt, Glock Aviation, and International Jet Management.

Both aircraft are expected to be stationed at Vienna Airport and enter commercial charter service in July 2025. To support international operations, Goldeck-Flug has applied for a US Foreign Air Carrier Permit (FACP).

In addition to the upcoming jets, Goldeck-Flug operates two Pilatus PC-12/47E turboprops from its Wiener Neustadt base. The company recently sold its older PC-12, OE-EPH, which has since been re-registered in San Marino, and replaced it with a newer unit, leaving OE-EPM currently active.

Goldeck-Flug was once a major player in Austria’s business aviation sector, managing a fleet of nine jets at its peak between 2005 and 2006. It exited the segment gradually, phasing out its last Citation Latitude in 2022. The company is owned by ZMH GmbH, part of the Haselsteiner Family Private Foundation.
