Hong Kong-based start-up carrier Greater Bay Airlines (GBA) has selected Burrana for the supply of in-seat cabin power (USB) on its Boeing 737-800 fleet.

“Our ability to meet an aggressive modification timeline of fewer than six months, was key for GBA to comply with EASA certification to be able to start commercial operations in early October 2021,” said Ryo Lee, Director Asia Pacific at Burrana.

“We are very excited to be partnering with Greater Bay Airlines as they launch their new operations. GBA’s selection of Burrana confirms that our lightweight architecture, flexible installation options, and ability to deliver quickly are addressing key challenges that airlines face. We look forward to a long and prosperous partnership with GBA,” added David Pook, VP Marketing & Sales Support at Burrana.

GBA has applied to operate to a total of 104 destinations across the region, including Chinese Mainland, North Asia, Southeast Asia and the Indian Subcontinent. It plans to have 10 Boeing 737-800 aircraft in service by 2022, and more than 30 by 2026.
