Embraer E120

Sunrise Airways (S6, Port au Prince) has announced via social media that it will “soon” add its first EMB-120ER.

ZS-KLM (msn 120338) is currently operated by Sahara African Aviation (Nelspruit). At 23.4 years of age, the Embraer turboprop was delivered in 1996 to SkyWest Airlines and subsequently acquired and inducted by the South African carrier in 2017. Most recently, it has been wet-leased to LAM – Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique, the ch-aviation fleets advanced module shows.

Seating up to 30 passengers, the E120 will significantly increase Sunrise Airways’ in-house capacity. The carrier’s fleet currently comprises a Jetstream 32 and a S340B wet-leased from OCL Barbados (OCL, St. Vincent Argyle Int’l). It deploys the aircraft on a domestic network connecting Port au Prince with Cap Haitien, Jérémie, and Les Cayes, as well as with Santo Domingo Las Américas in the Dominican Republic. During the peak season, Sunrise Airways has been wet-leasing ATR42-500 capacity from Guadeloupe’s Air Antilles (3S, Pointe à Pitre).
