Half Moon, the iconic Jamaican luxury resort, is set to embark on a comprehensive modernization project of its Rose Hall Villas, with enhancements planned to unfold through November 2024. This ambitious renovation aims to refine the villa accommodations with contemporary interior updates, including the addition of new family game rooms, state-of-the-art appliances, upscale furniture, modernized bathrooms, and revamped outdoor pools and cabanas.

The renovation’s first phase will commence in April, targeting the rejuvenation of eleven villas and scheduled for completion by the fall holiday season. The project will continue into 2025, with the remaining eight villas slated for similar upgrades.

This initiative marks the continuation of Half Moon’s commitment to excellence, following the recent refurbishment of its Hibiscus neighborhood and the 2020 launch of Eclipse at Half Moon. This newer section of the resort boasts an array of luxurious amenities, including a variety of accommodation options, dining venues, bars, an infinity-edge pool, and a private beachfront, further cementing Half Moon’s status as a premier vacation destination.

Designed to cater to families and groups, the Rose Hall Villas at Half Moon come with dedicated staff, including a personal chef, housekeeper, and butler, ensuring a personalized and memorable stay. “We are excited to further elevate the elegantly relaxed guest experience at our popular Rose Hall Villas,” said Shernette Crichton, Half Moon’s general manager. She emphasized the goal of enhancing the villas while preserving the essence of Jamaican design.

The villa enhancements will not only maintain the original architectural charm but also introduce improved guest experiences with features like expansive glass-pane doors, screened windows, and reimagined layouts to maximize scenic views. The updated villas will also showcase fresh wood and stone finishes, modern furniture with tropical influences, neutral color schemes, and subtle local accents, promising a blend of luxury and cultural authenticity.

In addition to its physical upgrades, Half Moon has recently been honored by its induction into Historic Hotels Worldwide, an official program of the U.S. National Trust for Historic Preservation. This recognition celebrates Half Moon’s rich 70-year legacy of hosting distinguished guests, including U.S. presidents, members of the British royal family, and celebrities, and underscores the resort’s commitment to preserving its heritage while offering exceptional hospitality.

With these renovations and accolades, Half Moon continues to define luxury resort living in Jamaica, inviting guests to experience its upgraded villas against the backdrop of unparalleled natural beauty and rich historical significance.
