For the first time in recent years, Singapore Changi Airport has been surpassed in the rankings for the world’s best airport. Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar, claimed the top spot in the latest Skytrax World’s Best Airports list for 2024. This list, compiled from a global survey involving travelers from over 100 countries, highlights the finest airports across the globe, judging on aspects such as facilities, cleanliness, customer service, and overall passenger experience.

Hamad International Airport, known for its expansive facilities and luxury amenities, made significant upgrades to accommodate the influx of visitors for the FIFA World Cup in 2022. These upgrades included expanding its passenger capacity to over 58 million annually, adding a second airport hotel, and introducing an indoor tropical garden called the Orchard. It also offers a broad range of high-end shopping and dining options, including designer boutiques and gourmet cafes, which have helped it earn the title of the world’s best airport for shopping.

Singapore Changi, previously holding the first-place position, now takes second place but continues to impress with its vast array of amenities.
