Hawaiian Airlines is expanding its network for the Winter 2025 season with increased services to Australia and the U.S. West Coast, and the introduction of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner on its Tokyo route. The strategic updates are aimed at capturing peak travel demand across key markets in both hemispheres.

Beginning January 2025 and running through mid-April, Hawaiian will operate its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner between Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) and Tokyo’s Narita International Airport (NRT). This marks the first time the Dreamliner will be used on this route. The aircraft features the airline’s new Leihōkū Suites, offering lie-flat seating, direct aisle access, and enhanced privacy—bringing a premium long-haul experience to transpacific travelers.

To meet strong demand from the Southern Hemisphere during its summer travel season, Hawaiian will also boost service between Honolulu’s Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) and Sydney Kingsford Smith International Airport (SYD). From December 8, 2025 through January 31, 2026, the carrier will operate daily flights on the route, up from five weekly flights, offering more capacity during the peak holiday period.

Domestically, Hawaiian is enhancing its core West Coast routes. Between Honolulu and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), a fifth daily flight will be added using Airbus A321neo aircraft. This extra frequency will operate during two key travel windows: November 21 to December 1, 2025, and again from December 19, 2025 to January 6, 2026.

The Honolulu–Seattle route will also see a major upgrade. Hawaiian will add a fourth daily widebody flight between late November 2025 and mid-April 2026, replacing a previously scheduled narrowbody A321neo. This will bring the total number of daily flights on the route to six, including two operated by codeshare partner Alaska Airlines. The updated schedule includes a convenient morning departure from Honolulu and a return from Seattle in the early evening.

These winter adjustments reflect Hawaiian Airlines’ ongoing efforts to align capacity with seasonal demand, while also enhancing the overall passenger experience through fleet modernization and premium service offerings. With key transpacific and domestic markets in focus, the airline is positioning itself strongly for continued recovery and competitive growth in 2025.
