Hawaiian Airlines eyes future inter-island sea-glider routes

Hawaiian Airlines is investing in electric sea-glider maker Regent with the goal of exploring technology and infrastructure to develop environmentally sustainable interisland transportation for passengers using Regent’s 100-passenger aircraft. “Innovative inter-island transportation has been core to our business since 1929 when we replaced steam ships with airplanes,” said Hawaiian Airlines’ Avi Mannis.
