Hawaiian Airlines is revolutionizing in-flight connectivity by equipping their fleet with Starlink internet, promising passengers the fastest WiFi speeds yet. On a recent test flight from Long Beach to Honolulu, the airline showcased the impressive capabilities of their new system. Passengers can now enjoy speeds reaching up to 200 megabits per second, allowing for seamless streaming, gaming, and more—comparable to high-speed home internet.

This upgrade is part of Hawaiian’s commitment to enhancing passenger experience, distinguishing it from other carriers by offering this service free of charge. So far, 18 A321neo aircraft have been fitted with Starlink, with plans to expand to the A330 fleet and new Boeing 787 Dreamliners. The introduction of such high-speed internet could render traditional in-flight entertainment systems obsolete, positioning Hawaiian Airlines as a leader in high-tech air travel.
