HBX Group Acquires Civitfun to Boost Hotel Tech and Guest Experience

HBX Group has acquired Spanish hospitality technology provider Civitfun as part of its strategy to streamline the travel ecosystem and accelerate hotel digitalization. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Civitfun, known for its integrations with over 60 property management systems (PMS) and a client base spanning 3,500 properties in 36 countries, will now leverage HBX Group’s global reach and B2B marketplace to scale its tech solutions.
The collaboration aims to enhance the guest experience with tools such as contactless check-in and check-out, as well as generate new hotel revenue through cross-selling and upselling features.
HBX Group CEO Nicolas Huss said the deal reflects a commitment to simplifying hotel operations and empowering staff to focus more on guest care. Civitfun managing director Mariano de Oleza added that the acquisition opens global opportunities for innovation in digital hotel services.
HBX Group went public on the Spanish stock exchanges earlier this year, raising €725 million. In its latest half-year results, the company reported €319 million in revenue (up 10% year-over-year), €3.4 billion in transaction value, and a 14% rise in adjusted EBITDA to €159 million.
Civitfun recently expanded its capabilities with the acquisition of group booking platform GRS and has grown its team from 10 to over 35 employees.
