Heinz is teaming with The LEE Initiative and Southern Restaurants for Racial Justice to give up to $20,000 to 60 Black-owned restaurants to help stabilize businesses experiencing financial need and to boost training in HR, marketing, finance and more, the company said. Nearly 8 in 10 Black-owned restaurants fail in the first year of business, and those numbers have only increased since the pandemic, NBC News reports.
