Germany-based Heron Aviation has officially ceased operations of its Learjet aircraft following the sale of its sole Learjet 35A. The 43.5-year-old aircraft, active until January 14, 2024, flew from Bursa Yenisehir to Cologne/Bonn, where it has remained parked since.

The Learjet 35A is set to join the fleet of Quick Air Jet Charter, a German operator specializing in air ambulance services. Quick Air’s fleet already includes three other Learjet 35As, though all are currently inactive, with the most recent parked at Cologne/Bonn since September 4, 2024.

Heron Aviation, a private jet charter and aircraft management firm, continues to operate a diverse fleet of nine aircraft. This includes a Citation Jet, Citation M2, two Citation Mustangs (registered in Spain), a Citation XLS+, a newly added Falcon 8X, Falcon 900EX, Falcon 900LX, and an Embraer E145. The E145, currently operated on behalf of Travelcoup, is set to transition to the Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) of Arcus Air.

Looking ahead, Heron Aviation plans to expand its fleet with a 90-seat Boeing 737-500. Additionally, the operator confirmed the sale of its stored Learjet 60 which had been mothballed at Nuremberg since 2022.

Heron Aviation’s fleet updates reflect its strategy to streamline operations and invest in larger, more versatile aircraft for its global client base.
