Hilton Adds Groups360 Direct Booking Solution for Meetings

Hilton Worldwide will begin to offer Groups360’s GroupSync Engage direct booking solution for meetings and events this month, the companies announced Thursday. The tool allows planners to see real-time availability and book guest room blocks for small groups. It will eventually be available at 5,000 of Hilton’s properties globally, according to Hilton.

The announcement comes a week after Omni Hotels & Resorts announced it was now offering GroupSync Engage to clients. Omni was the first hotel company that is not an investor in Groups360 to offer the tool. IHG Hotels & Resorts was the first major hotel company to partner with Groups360 for direct group bookings in February. Both IHG and Hilton were part of a group of four hotel companies to invest $50 million in Groups360 in August 2019.

Groups360 says about 200,000 properties are on the GroupSync platform, and the company anticipates that approximately 20,000 of them will be equipped to offer online group booking by the end of 2021. All of the company’s partner properties can receive electronic requests for proposals through GroupSync.
