Hilton Debuts First Graduate Hotel in Dallas

Graduate by Hilton Dallas has officially opened, marking the brand’s debut in Texas. Located across from Southern Methodist University, the 93-room hotel blends mid-century modern architecture with Texas-inspired design.
Developed and designed by AJ Capital Partners, the property occupies the former Lumen Hotel site. The renovation preserves the building’s original mid-century aesthetic while adding rustic touches, including warm wood accents, textured fabrics, leather, and cowhide details.
Amenities include a lobby lounge, outdoor pool with terrace, multiple event spaces, and the signature Los Charros Tex-Mex Smokehouse. The restaurant honors the tradition of Mexican horsemen, offering a menu with communal-style dining at a large shared table.
The lobby serves as a welcoming hub, with spaces for coffee, work, or casual conversation. The design reflects Graduate Hotels’ collegiate-inspired style, tailored to the Dallas Highland Park neighborhood.
“Introducing the Graduate brand to Texas—one of the country’s largest and most dynamic markets—is a major milestone,” said Parker Henderson, brand leader for Graduate by Hilton. “Dallas’s Highland Park is a perfect match for our values of lifelong learning, and this opening paves the way for our Texas expansion, with Austin next on the list.”
Graduate Hotels, acquired by Hilton for $210 million in 2024, continues to expand its portfolio of boutique properties near universities. Hilton Honors members can earn and redeem points when staying at Graduate Dallas, offering guests both unique local character and the benefits of Hilton’s global loyalty program.
