Hilton’s Marcel Hotel makes energy-saving history

The Hotel Marcel New Haven in Connecticut that’s scheduled to open May 19 is being called the nation’s first net-zero hotel for energy use, with solar panels powering all facilities including its 165 rooms and suites. The Tapestry Collection by Hilton property occupies the 52-year-old former Armstrong Rubber Co., headquarters, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
