Hochul wants 3 NYC casinos to be licensed this year

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul has issued a call to the New York State Gaming Commission to expedite the process of issuing licenses for up to 3 casinos in and around New York City. A number of developers indicated last year that they would like to build a casino in the city, including Vornado Realty Trust, which proposed one near Herald Square, and L&L Holding Company, which was interested in building one at West 47th and Broadway.
