Holland America Line Partners with The History Channel for Themed Cruises

Holland America Line is teaming up with The History Channel, a division of A+E Networks, to offer a unique cruising experience that immerses guests in the history of their destinations. Starting in April 2025, the two companies will launch curated itineraries and themed shore excursions that take travelers through ancient ruins and iconic landmarks, allowing them to experience the rich cultural heritage of each location.

The collaboration will feature several carefully crafted cruise itineraries, including a 14-day Arctic Journey & Northern Lights, a seven-day Mediterranean Marvels of Pompeii, and a seven-day Norwegian Fjords with Hardangerfjord. Themed departures will cover diverse regions, focusing on the Eastern Mediterranean’s ancient empires, Northern Europe’s Viking heritage, and Arctic exploration, among other historical themes.

Shore excursions, designed to highlight the historical significance of each destination, will provide guests with in-depth cultural experiences. From gold panning to exploring the Giza pyramids, the excursions aim to give passengers a deeper understanding of the rich histories that have shaped these iconic locations.

Holland America Line, with over 150 years of cruising experience, operates 11 vessels and offers expertly designed itineraries to nearly 400 ports in 11 countries worldwide. Known for its exceptional service and onboard amenities, the line has crafted a strong reputation for delivering enriching travel experiences. The History Channel, widely recognized for its historical documentaries, will bring its expertise in historical storytelling to enhance these exclusive cruise journeys.

Additional itineraries and shore excursions will be announced for the 2025, 2026, and 2027 seasons, further expanding this immersive historical cruise offering.
