Holland America Line Unveils Europe Itineraries for 2025

Holland America Line’s 2025 European cruise season is now available for booking, offering more longer cruises for travelers looking to stay longer in Europe as well as more sailings to Iceland.

Rotterdam returns as a homeport for the cruise line in 2025, hosting the Rotterdam and Nieuw Statendam on roundtrip itineraries to Northern Europe and the Baltic. Holland America Line is also adding ten new itineraries from Dover, England, ranging from 14 to 28 days in length.

Other departure cities include Amsterdam, Barcelona, Boston, Civitavecchia, Trieste, Piraeus, Reykjavik and Fort Lauderdale.

Additionally, the line will offer overnights in eleven different ports across the 2025 cruise season, including Alexandria, Barcelona, Haifa (Tel Aviv), Istanbul, Newhaven (Edinburgh), Reykjavik, Piraeus (Athens), Rhodes, Stockholm, Trieste (Venice) and Valletta. There will also be 32 cities in which travelers can enjoy late evening departures.

Travelers who book a 2025 European cruise with the Have It All premium package can enjoy free prepaid Crew Appreciation, Premium Wi-Fi and an Elite Beverage Package upgrade.

Northern Europe
The cruise line is offering sailings on the Rotterdam to Northern Europe, sailing from Rotterdam in the Netherlands, including a seven-day Norwegian Fjords itinerary, 7-14-day Norway and Scotland itineraries, as well as trips to the Baltic and to Iceland.

The Nieuw Statendam will also offer 14 to 28-day itineraries from Rotterdam to the Baltic, British Isles, Norway and Iceland.

A new Legendary Voyage will depart roundtrip from Rotterdam in 2025; the 28-day “Arctic Circle Crossing” departs June 29 and features fifteen destinations across Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Scotland and England.

A second Legendary Voyage enjoys the Summer Solstice while crossing the Arctic Circle. The 14-day “Arctic Circle Crossing: Edinburgh Evening Stay” enjoys five ports of call in Norway and visits the Shetland Islands, England and Scotland.

The Mediterranean
The Oosterdam will offer 7-14-day cruises throughout the Mediterranean from four key homeports, visiting countries across the sea, including Albania, Croatia, Egypt, Greece, Frange, Italy, Spain and more.

The Nieuw Statendam will also offer longer 14-day cruises between Barcelona Rome and Athens, as well as roundtrip from Athens heading to the eastern part of the Mediterranean. The ship will offer one 14-day roundtrip itinerary from Piraeus (Athens) to the Holy Land in October.

The Canary Islands
There will be one Canary Islands itinerary available on April 20, 2025 onboard the Nieuw Statendam. It will depart from Rotterdam as the ship ends its season there and will visit Morocco, Madeira, Portugal and England before ending in the Mediterranean.

Transatlantic Voyages
Holland America Line is offering several transatlantic voyages in 2025. The “Voyage of the Vikings” itinerary will be offered onboard the Zuiderdam on July 19, sailing roundtrip from Boston (or can be split in half for a Boston to Rotterdam or Rotterdam to Boston itinerary). It visits Maine, Canada, Greenland, Iceland, the Netherlands, Ireland, Northern Ireland and Norway.

The Rotterdam and Nieuw Statendam will cross the Atlantic from Fort Lauderdale to Rotterdam. The Oosterdam will cross the sea from Fort Lauderdale to Barcelona. The three ships will also return to Fort Lauderdale from their respective European ports in October and November.
