Holland America Line has officially opened bookings for its highly anticipated 2026-2027 South America and Antarctica season, promising travelers a myriad of itineraries aboard its elegant ships, Oosterdam and Volendam. This season, guests can choose from voyages ranging in length from 14 to 31 days, offering unique experiences across some of the world’s most captivating destinations. The itineraries not only traverse the iconic regions of South America but also extend into the icy expanses of Antarctica.

Travelers will have the opportunity to explore vibrant cities and cultural hotspots in Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, and Peru. In addition to these countries, the season offers journeys that venture to the remote Falkland Islands, the lush Amazon rainforest, and even through the engineering marvel of the Panama Canal. Moreover, voyages to the “White Continent” promise breathtaking landscapes and unforgettable experiences on the icy frontier of Antarctica.

A standout feature of this season is the inclusion of visits to 22 UNESCO World Heritage sites and UNESCO Biosphere Reserves, ensuring that guests can immerse themselves in both natural and cultural treasures throughout their journey. For those with a penchant for extended travel adventures, several itineraries can be combined into longer “Collectors’ Voyages,” offering even richer, multi-destination experiences.

New for the upcoming season is a voyage that will take travelers to the Pio XI Glacier—the longest glacier in the Southern Hemisphere outside of Antarctica. Described as “truly spectacular,” this natural wonder, sometimes referred to as the “Granddaddy of Patagonian icefields,” is renowned for its vivid bright blue hues and dramatic dark streaks caused by active calving. Paul Grigsby, Vice President of Deployment and Revenue Planning for Holland America Line, commented, “It’s known for its bright blue hues and signature dark streak, and it can really only be accessed via ship. Our guests are in for a treat when they visit this magnificent glacier.”

In celebration of its expansive itinerary and commitment to delivering premier travel experiences, Holland America Line is offering exclusive perks to members of its Mariner Society loyalty program. Guests who book one of the 2026 or 2027 South America and Antarctica cruises by March 31 will receive up to $400 in onboard credits per stateroom. Additionally, for a limited time, travelers can enjoy the special Have It All premium package. This package enhances the cruise experience by including standard shore excursions, specialty dining, the Signature Beverage Package, and Surf Wi-Fi—plus free prepaid crew gratuities and free upgrades to the Elite Beverage Package and Premium Wi-Fi.

The diverse itineraries and luxury amenities provided by Holland America Line allow guests to tailor their travel experiences to suit their interests, whether they are passionate about history, nature, or cultural exploration. The carrier’s commitment to excellence is evident not only in the carefully curated itineraries but also in the quality of onboard service that has become a hallmark of its brand.

With a network of over 130 routes from bases in Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius, Tampere, and seasonally, Gran Canaria, Holland America Line continues to connect the Baltic States with more than 70 destinations spanning Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Caucasus. This season’s offerings reflect the carrier’s dedication to providing unforgettable journeys that combine world-class service with immersive experiences.
