Honeywell Predicts Record Business Jet Deliveries Through 2035

Honeywell has released its 34th annual Global Business Aviation Outlook, forecasting a record decade for new business jet deliveries. The report anticipates 8,500 new aircraft, worth an estimated $283 billion, will be delivered worldwide over the next 10 years—an average annual growth rate of 3%.

Based on surveys of hundreds of global business aviation operators and Honeywell’s proprietary forecasting models, the 2025 report points to strong economic growth, rising demand for fractional ownership, and continuous aircraft innovation as key drivers behind the sector’s expansion.

“The combination of recent economic growth, increasing demand for fractional ownership, and steady advances in aircraft design and technology have produced record levels of demand in business aviation,” said Heath Patrick, President, Americas Aftermarket, Honeywell Aerospace Technologies. “We expect these record-setting levels of deliveries and usage to continue over the next decade.”

Among the report’s key findings:

  • New business jet deliveries in 2026 are projected to rise 5% compared to 2025.
  • Deliveries are expected to grow by an average of 3% annually over the next 10 years.
  • 91% of operators expect to fly more or the same in 2026 than in 2025.
  • 20% of operators globally have at least one aircraft on firm order—up from 17% a year ago.
  • “Performance” is now the top purchase criterion for 89% of respondents, while “cost” ranked second at 56%.
  • Demand for fractional ownership continues to outpace overall industry growth, particularly in the midsize and super midsize jet categories. Fractional fleets have expanded by 65% since 2019, now totaling around 1,300 aircraft.

Honeywell noted that operators are flying significantly more in 2025 than in 2024, with flight hours up 3% year over year after flat growth the previous year. Much of this increase stems from private operators and fractional ownership companies, where charter demand remains well above pre-pandemic levels.

With steady production increases, a resilient demand base, and the expansion of fractional ownership models, Honeywell forecasts that the next decade will mark one of the strongest growth periods in the history of business aviation.
