Hostel entrepreneur envisions a niche down the road

A former executive at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts hopes to entice American travelers with a new take on hostels, the popular bare-bones European lodging. Nina Kleaveland, who co-founded Lanyard in 2020, adds stylish decor and “human experience” as alternatives to both traditional hostels and vacation rentals.
